Rose Garden Weddings at Sahuaro Ranch

Top

If we could step back in time to April 6, 1899, we would have been guests at the very first Rose Garden wedding.  This, of course, if we had been fortunate enough to be invited to this lovely event.  As the sun was setting on the Victorian Era, Mary Wentworth Bartlett and Charles W. Case Deering exchanged their wedding vows amidst the many fragrant roses planted by Mary’s father, William Henry Bartlett in the 1890’s.  We can only imagine the elegance and beauty of their ceremony.

Today, following the tradition of this first wedding, facilitating Rose Garden weddings at Sahuaro Ranch is a popular and important part of what we do at the Glendale Arizona Historical Society.  As the years go by, the number of weddings we have facilitated continues to grow and we are so honored to have been a part of each one of them.  It is exciting to see a bride and groom starting their life together right here in our beautiful Rose Garden.

If you have never been to the Guest House or Rose Garden at Sahuaro Ranch we encourage you to come in for a tour and to speak with us about your wedding.  For questions or to reserve your wedding date, please call (623) 435-0072.  You may also email us at gahs73@gmail.com

Due to the high temperatures during the summer, we do not schedule weddings in June, July and August.  October weddings are held just north of the Rose Garden, in the Palm Grove because the City reseeds the grass during this month.

PLEASE NOTE ~ no weddings will be held during NOVEMBER 2024.
